I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Was playing around with it, and this is what I came up with.

Vanguard Vet SGT
- Jump Pack, Relic Blade - Leader

Vanguard Vet
- Jump Pack, Power Weapon

Tac Marine
- Heavy Bolter

Tac Marine

Tac Marine

Tac Marine

Tac Marine

Thats my 200pts

--- I'm going to model my Bolter Marines with Silencers, its going to be the "start" of my Alpha Legion

I actually downloaded the rules for it. I am game.
Do you see what's going on, it's change. The longer the changes improve.

I've been reading through the rules quite a bit again lately, and I'm thinking about running something 'Space Hulk' like in the Fall schedule permitting. There are TONS of updates for this that have happened. In fact, there was a tournament at Adepticon this past weekend.

The Latest rules are here http://www.box.net/shared/s8gq48dnkb.
Errata http://www.box.net/shared/ja6ya7on0m
Missions http://www.box.net/shared/e726brgq65
Fate Cards http://www.box.net/shared/sd53h6spru
The Galaxy in Flames blog here, where all this originated from http://galaxyinflames.blogspot.com/

The Secondary Mission and Fate Cards are really cool, they can change the flow of the game. Secondary Missions are self explanatory, and are secret. The Fate Cards help make the game more cinematic, for instance 'I'm the Best at What I Do' gives a model Furious Charge for one assault. 'You Keep Using That Word...' takes away one enemy models special USR.

There are also upgrades you can give your team members to add a bit of flavor.

I think this is what Kill Teams should be all about, give it a read through. I'm looking forward to some fun Modeling Opportunities. A campaign like this is where my Thousand Sons army started from.
