New Edition of the Game

Postby Inquisitor Wall » Sun Jan 03, 2010 9:24 pm

So AoW announced today/yesterday, that they are not in fact canceling the game, but they are creating a second edition of the game. The mechanics will stay very similar to as they are now, but they will be making it more customizable. You will choose your character race which I am assuming will have some standard characteristics, then you can arm them however you wish. Their goal is to make the game less rigid, while still maintaining the arena aspect to it. They also want you to be able to use any fantasy minis you have so that you are in no way limited to only what they produce.

These changes will make it so they do not need to update the rules every time a new model comes out, or if you have a super coll conversion in mind.

I think this will make the game more appealing to those of you that like to convert, have old D&D models, or just want to create your own characters. I am excited.

That's AWESOME news!

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I can bring it to work and have it translated.

This will be in Spanish from Spain, which might make it a little more difficult to translate correctly, but could be close.

Translating from A to B and back to A is never the same so I guess you are correct. I will definetly pick it up when it comes out.

They are a Spanish company, so they make everything in Spanish first to begin with.

Sweet!!! Glad to see this game is still going to live on. While they are great miniatures just to paint I was hoping that I hadn't invested in the game just to see it dead bfore I could even try it out.
