I am also happy to see interest pick up. As I have posted before, it is a great tactical game that really requires some planning and timing. It is also cool to see people getting into the Americans and the Brits. Many people run Russian and German armies so it is great to see some diversity. I will be bringing my Flames by next week for those who may be interested (yes Kinne, I am talking to you :D ).

I like Old Glory's Command Decision miniatures' quality, actually....the really aren't that far off from Flames of War in quality, though FoW does have the eedge in my opinion. But, for price, you can not go wrong with Command Decision minis. Yeah, they come three in a package for their armor, but think of it ths way: Buy 5 packs and get three platoons for a heck of a lot less money than you would have with FoW; and in my book, damn, you can never have enough miniatures!!!

Here's an example of (left to right) a Flames of War M4A1 Sherman, a Command decision M4A4 and a CD M4A3 Easy Eight....

Ahhhhhh, yup, as you can see....not completed yet

As for Flamees of War...oh yeah, definitely a great system, but many thnk it get's a little too anal; a little too "blow the crap out of everything". The complete opposite end of the spectrum would be Axis & allies Miniatures (which I still love, personally)....but....

A couple ther systems that are perhaps a tad more elegant and less ASListic would be:

Fire & Fury's Battlefront:WWII

Test of Batte's Command Decision

Fire & Fury's offering is pretty brilliant, actually, and I personally think edges out FoW and Command Decision, IMHO. :D
